High-Voltage Power for Autonomous Search and Rescue
Mission SpecificationsA university flagship student vehicle prototype program, presented at a major defense ground vehicle symposium.
This series-hybrid rescue platform is a vehicle developed through a university flagship student vehicle prototype program, in partnership with the U.S. Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center and presented at a major defense ground vehicle symposium.
The vehicle is a high-speed, off-road, semi-autonomous search-and-rescue platform built to address real disaster response scenarios, including golden hour medical delivery and unmanned terrain navigation.
EVolve Battery Systems supplied the high-voltage MonoLith battery system, delivering a complete 420V liquid-cooled pack inside the program's aggressive development timeline.
Vehicle and crew must reach disaster site, map the area, and return with injured within the critical first hour.
Designed for post-disaster terrain (sand, boulders, urban rubble) using semi-active suspension and autonomous drive.
Sponsored by DEVCOM GVSC as a validation tool for autonomous vehicle dynamics and energy management in off-road environments.

Total pack energy for sustained autonomous operation
Peak bus voltage under full charge
Sustained output for off-road driving loads
38% above the 130 kW program requirement
20% under the 200 kg ceiling, preserving payload margin
Gravimetric density optimized for vehicle integration
Every program requirement met or exceeded.
MonoLith platform optimized for the rescue vehicle envelope.

Full 420V liquid-cooled system delivered inside an 18-month total vehicle development program.
180 kW delivered against 130 kW requirement.
161 kg against 200 kg limit, preserving vehicle payload margin for sensors and rescue equipment.
This program demanded a high-voltage, liquid-cooled system that could keep pace with an aggressive university development schedule and survive the demands of autonomous off-road rescue operations. The MonoLith delivered on every requirement.
We supply prototype and development battery systems for advanced vehicle programs: university, defense research, and commercial. Single units welcome.
