MonoLith Battery Systems

403-547V Battery Packs

Proven EV platform standard with the deepest charger ecosystem

The 400V nominal bus has become the de facto standard for next-generation battery-electric vehicles. This voltage strikes an ideal balance: high enough to enable efficient motor drives and inverters, yet low enough to benefit from mature semiconductor libraries. MonoLith offers 132 validated configurations spanning 403.2-547.2V, 12.1-62.2 kWh energy, and 145-383 kW discharge power. All packs in this band support rapid thermal cycling and long calendar life in automotive duty cycles.

Emerging EV Platform Standard

The 400V nominal bus has become the de facto standard for next-generation battery-electric vehicles over the past 5 years. This voltage band strikes an ideal balance: high enough to enable efficient motor drives and inverters with reasonable switch counts, yet low enough to benefit from mature semiconductor and passive component libraries designed around the 400V threshold. Major OEMs have converged on this architecture, making it the single largest volume segment for new EV platforms.

All packs in this band are manufactured to support rapid thermal cycling and long calendar life in automotive duty cycles. The voltage window covers everything from compact city cars to mid-size sedans with highway performance.

SAE J1772 DC Fast Charge Integration

Every 400V pack in MonoLith inventory is architected to integrate seamlessly with SAE J1772 CCS Combo DC fast-charging infrastructure-the North American standard deployed across 50,000+ public chargers. At 400V nominal, the BMS can accept high-current inlets without exotic cooling, delivering 10-80% charge in 20-35 minutes on a 150 kW+ charger.

Battery designs include pre-integrated contactors, relay logic, and CAN isolation for CCS Combo handshake. Lead times are 6-10 weeks NRE-free; no custom tooling required. Filter by exact kWh and kW in PackForge to find your ideal 400V topology.

Inverter and Charger Ecosystems

The 400V node has the deepest vendor ecosystem of any battery voltage. Inverters from Sevcon, Cascadia, Parker, and dozens of smaller OEMs are field-proven at this voltage. Onboard chargers (AC-DC converters) from major Tier-1s all target 400V as their primary architecture. This maturity means lower risk on component selection, easier supply chain qualification, and proven thermal design margins.

Whether you are designing a Tier-2 regional EV, an industrial / commercial vehicle retrofit, or an expedited program refresh, the 400V band offers the fastest time-to-production and the broadest partner ecosystem of any single voltage class.
