MonoLith Battery Systems

551-698V Battery Packs

Fast-charge optimized with industrial VFD compatibility

The 600V nominal bus offers a compelling physics advantage for fast charging: at the same power, doubling voltage halves the current, dramatically reducing resistive losses. MonoLith offers 66 production-ready configurations spanning 550.8-698.4V, 16.8-41.9 kWh energy, and 202-489 kW discharge power. This voltage aligns perfectly with legacy industrial drive and power distribution hardware, making it the standard for industrial battery applications-AGVs, forklift fleets, and stationary energy storage.

Fast-Charge Optimized at Higher Voltage

The 600V nominal bus offers a compelling physics advantage for fast charging: at the same power (kW), doubling voltage halves the current, dramatically reducing resistive losses in busbars, connectors, and on-board battery management electronics. A 600V pack can absorb a 250 kW DC charge with only ~200 A inlet current, versus 350+ A at 400V. This translates to lower thermal stress on cell connectors, longer cycle life, and faster time-to-power on every charge.

Many configurations are already deployed in premium BEV platforms where charging speed and thermal margin drive buyer value.

Industrial VFD Compatibility and Switchgear Ecosystem

The 600V nominal voltage band aligns perfectly with legacy industrial drive and power distribution hardware: almost all variable-frequency drives (VFDs), medium-voltage breakers, and industrial switchgear from ABB, Siemens, and Schneider are rated for 600V +/-10%. This synergy makes 600V the standard for industrial battery applications-automated guided vehicles (AGVs), forklift fleets, material-handling robots, and stationary energy storage installations.

Unlike 400V, which demands custom contactors and integration, a 600V MonoLith pack can often reuse existing industrial control cabinets and charger hardware. This dramatically accelerates time-to-deployment for fleet electrification and industrial automation programs.

Mature Supply Chain for Power Electronics

At 600V, the semiconductor and passive component market is highly mature. MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, and gate drivers are off-the-shelf, low-NRE, and available in massive volumes from multiple Tier-1 suppliers. This maturity has kept 600V system costs competitive with 400V while offering superior thermal performance and charging speed.

For programs requiring industrial production volumes with minimal custom tooling, the 600V band delivers lower cost-of-engineering, proven reliability, and supply chain resilience that rivals or beats the more popular 400V segment.
